Ahead of the 7th PingPongParkinson World Championships in Hanover, the top of the all-time rankings stands as follows: Behind Thorsten Flues (GER), the undisputed leader with eleven titles, Silke Kind (GER) has moved into second place with five gold medals, whilst Ilya Rozenblat (USA) in third place and Thorsten Boomhuis (GER) in fourth are the only players with four world championship titles.
In fifth place is Melanie Jeska (GER), who, like Rie Koyama (JPN) in sixth place, has now won three gold medals. Of the 22 people with two gold medals, Norbert Hase (GER) is the most successful, as he also has a total of seven silver medals to his name in 7th place, whilst Margie Alley (USA) has collected four silver and four bronze medals. The player in ninth place, Jörgen Sjöstedt (SWE), is also competing again this time, just like the top eight, so there could be some changes in the rankings behind Thorsten Flues after this tournament.
The list of players who have won at least one bronze medal at the PingPongParkinson World Championships now comprises 220 entries.
