Two of Lower Saxony’s most qualified referees will serve as deputy referees at this World Championship. Bastian Heyduck will take on this role on Saturday and Sunday. The Hildesheim native is an international referee and head of the Referees’ Department at Lower Saxony Table Tennis Association.
From Monday to Wednesday, Bernd Buhmann will then act as deputy referee. He comes from the Hameln-Pyrmont district, is also an international referee and works in the Referees’ Department – a role he previously headed – now as a committee member. Both will be the points of contact for the nearly 800 competitors at the tournament regarding all matters of the rules.
