Many players have already taken the opportunity to register for the doubles and mixed doubles via the online entry system. Registration remains open until Wednesday 16 September. So far, 76 women’s doubles, 199 men’s doubles and 171 mixed doubles have been entered and confirmed by both players. Furthermore, all errors in the classification of some doubles and mixed pairs have now been corrected.
This means that over 75 per cent of women and over 66 per cent of men have now completed their entries for the doubles. In the mixed doubles, where women are in short supply, 86 per cent of all women already have a mixed doubles partner, meaning that there are currently only 28 women left without a mixed doubles partner – and some of them do not wish to play mixed doubles at all.
It therefore now makes sense to publish the doubles and mixed doubles pairs – which have already been confirmed by both players – in order of seeding points on the tournament website at pppwc.net under the ‘Players‘ menu item, where they are also regularly updated.
Anyone who is not yet listed here and wishes to play doubles or mixed doubles should take action over the next four days. However, please note that only the person who originally registered the player may register them for doubles and mixed doubles. Therefore, anyone who has not registered themselves cannot register for doubles or mixed doubles, but must ask the person who registered them to do so on their behalf.
