Error in the online entry system regarding the listing of doubles categories

Unfortunately, there was an error in the online entry system (OES) – a module of the TTM tournament management software, used for the first time at a PingPongParkinson World Championship – when determining and displaying the doubles and mixed doubles categories. In some cases, when two players from two different basic classes teamed up, the system displayed the lower class rather than the correct higher class, which is, of course, incorrect. Many players have brought this error to our attention, and the software developers have now rectified it.

Since then, all newly formed pairs have been classified correctly. However, a manual correction must be made for the incorrect old entries. The tournament organisers are currently working on this, and there is no need to continue reporting any class details that may still be incorrect.

Let’s look on the bright side: at the next PPP World Championships in 2027 in Magglingen, Switzerland, the OES will work correctly right from the start!
