Workshops organised by Britannia Pharmaceuticals

During the PingPongParkinson World Championships in Hanover, Britannia Pharmaceuticals is organising small, discussion-based workshops for people with Parkinson’s who use device- assisted therapies (DATs), as well as for their relatives, carers and close companions.
“Living with device-assisted therapies for Parkinson’s – A workshop on everyday
experiences and the communication needs of people with Parkinson’s and their
carers” The workshops will focus on everyday experiences with a DAT, the decision to use a device, and the question of what information and support people with Parkinson’s and their carers need.
People with Parkinson’s Monday, 28 September 2026 6.00 pm – 7.30 pm
Caregivers / Family and friends Tuesday, 29 September 2026 6.00 pm – 7.30 pm
The venue is easily accessible from the tournament, and transport can be arranged for
participants. Britannia is looking for participants who meet the following criteria:

  • People with Parkinson’s who are currently using a device-based therapy (for at least 6
    months), and/or Caregivers / family members / close friends who support a person with Parkinson’s in using a device-based therapy
  • Are aged 18 or over
  • Can communicate clearly and confidently in English
  • Are willing to take part in a group discussion and share personal experiences relating to DAT
  • understand the purpose of the workshop and are willing to give their consent by signing a consent form Participants will receive an allowance for their time and participation.

    All participants are also encouraged to pass this information on to family members or friends should they wish to take part in the workshop for carers, family and friends.
